Location: Gurugram (Hybrid)
About Slatebook
The job search is broken. We are building Slatebook: a quiet, high-signal career platform for top tech and product talent. Instead of users scrolling job boards, our recommendation engine continuously scans company ATS platforms, scores roles against user profiles, and surfaces only high-quality matches. It’s invite-only, AI-driven, and designed to respect the user's time.
The Role
I have the product vision, GTM strategy, and initial user acquisition covered. I need a technical co-founder to own the architecture, build the engine, and scale the platform. In the first 6-12 months, you will be the lead (and likely only) builder. Long-term, you will transition into the CTO role, hiring and leading the engineering team.
What You Will Own:
The AI/Matching Engine: Build and refine the core logic that parses resumes, analyzes job descriptions, and generates highly accurate recommendations. You will design the semantic workflows that map professional profiles to deep organizational requirements.
The Agentic Connection: Architect the future of automated hiring. You will design and deploy a multi-agent system where autonomous user-agents and company-agents interact, negotiate, and close placement deals seamlessly behind the scenes.
End-to-End Architecture: Select the technical stack, engineer a scalable backend, and deliver a clean, blazingly fast, and secure frontend experience. You have complete ownership of the technical blueprint from day one.
Future Scaling & Social Graph: Transition a scrappy MVP into a secure, production-ready enterprise platform. You will build the infrastructure to handle complex, real-time "working-together graphs," professional vouches, and high-throughput background processing.
Who You Are:
A Pragmatic Shipper: You know how to balance perfect architecture with the speed required to validate features early.
Full-Stack & AI-Fluent: Comfortable building across the stack, with experience (or strong interest) in implementing LLMs for semantic matching and data extraction.
Product-Minded: You care deeply about UI/UX. Slatebook is built on a "quiet by default" ethos—you understand that technical decisions impact the user's cognitive load.
