Role Summary
We are seeking an
Oracle
Cloud Security Consultant / OCI Security Architect
to help organizations design, secure, and govern
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
environments while protecting critical business applications, data, and cloud-native services. The role focuses on OCI security architecture, identity and access management, data protection, cloud governance, posture management, and secure cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
·
Design and review secure OCI architectures, landing zones, and infrastructure security controls.
·
Implement and govern OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), policies, compartments, and least-privilege access models.
·
Assess and improve OCI security posture using cloud security best practices.
·
Design and implement data protection controls, including encryption, key management, vault services, and secrets management.
·
Support Zero Trust initiatives, network segmentation, and secure connectivity using OCI networking services.
·
Conduct OCI security assessments, threat modeling, architecture reviews, and compliance evaluations.
·
Enable secure DevSecOps practices and protect CI/CD pipelines deployed within OCI environments.
·
Secure Oracle PaaS and SaaS integrations, including database, analytics, and application workloads.
·
Support cloud migration and modernization programs by embedding security controls into OCI landing zones and migrated workloads.
·
Develop cloud security dashboards, security monitoring use cases, and compliance reporting capabilities.
·
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and business teams to operationalize security controls and remediate identified risks.
·
Support incident response, security investigations, and cloud threat detection activities within OCI environments.
Required Skills
·
Hands-on experience with
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
services and security capabilities.
·
Strong understanding of OCI security architecture, governance, and operational best practices.
·
Experience implementing OCI IAM, compartments, dynamic groups, federation, and privileged access controls.
·
Knowledge of OCI
Cloud Guard
,
Security Zones
,
Vault
, and
Key Management Services (KMS)
.
·
Experience securing OCI networking components, including VCNs, NSGs, security lists, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
·
Understanding of encryption, key lifecycle management, and secrets management.
·
Familiarity with CSPM, cloud governance, and cloud compliance frameworks.
·
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and secure CI/CD pipelines.
·
Experience with cloud monitoring, logging.
Preferred Qualifications
·
Basic understanding of AI and securing AI-enabled cloud workloads.

OCI certifications such as:
o
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional
o
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Security Professional
·
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or CISM.
·
Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration, modernization, or Oracle workload transformation programs.
·
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
